Tyler Dean Denker Reservations Manager I was born and raised in Nebraska, the eldest of three brothers. My mom, Kim, is the lunch lady at Christ Lutheran elementary school and my dad, Rich, has been the Culligan man for the past twenty years. My first job was my paper route. I delivered the Omaha World Herald every day for six years, rain or shine. During high school and college, I worked at the Hy-Vee East grocery store, bagging, delivering groceries to cars, stocking the frozen food department, ringing up purchases at the cash register. I completed my first two years of college and I was accepted into an internship program at Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando, Florida. I learned a lot about customer service there, but more importantly, I fell in love—with a girl from the Boston area. After a lonely summer back in Nebraska, I packed my bags and moved to Boston to pursue my dreams and my love. In the not-too-distant future, I will receive my B.S. in Business Administration from UMASS. In the meantime, I have been working full-time at Rocca, originally as a host, and now in the position of Reservations Manager. I think my whole life has been in training for hospitality from delivering the Omaha World Herald at the crack of dawn to carrying bags of groceries to being a bellman at The Charles Hotel. I dream about one day opening a sports bar of my own, but for now, I love being the first person to greet you when you walk in the door at Rocca. |
